Yes, you read it write! Have you ever sat down and talked to you beautiful little plants in your garden?

We all have grown plants at our home. Some grow plants to make their house look beautiful, some grow plants keeping in mind their endless benefits, some grow their favourite flower, some grow a useful vegetable. Our reasons to grow a plant in our house may be different, but the efforts we have put into it is the same.

The one who has grown a plant at least once in his lifetime will know that it is not easy. Growing a plant is like taking care of a baby, YOUR baby. You need to take care of it, feed it, nurture it, nourish it like you would take care of your baby.

Wondering what will you get for putting in so much effort? Keep reading, you will get your answer.

Plants are proven to be a good listener. You can sit and talk about anything and everything to them and the best part is they will never judge you and will never interrupt you.

Gardening is believed to be a good stress buster and so are your little green friends. I know the whole idea of ‘talking to plants’ may sound stupid but it is a great way of letting your self out. They may not give you the right advice but they sure will clear your head and help you think clearly.

People often put up stories of their beautiful gardens on social media. Terrace gardening is quite in trend these days as it has endless benefits. For starters, it reduces the temperature by 6°-8° which means next time you can shop a little more because you will surely be saving a lot on air conditioning cost.

Terrace gardening not just makes you house look beautiful but it protects your building from absorbing heat.

According to me, the best part is that you are serving your family vegetables which are freshly grown in your garden. I’m sure it tastes better with a bonus of ‘health factor’.

Along with all these interesting facts don’t forget the part where it increases the amount of oxygen in the air. Terrace gardening not just provides healthy and fresh food but you also breath in fresh air!

I’m sure after reading this you want to have green little friends of your own. If you don’t have your own terrace garden I think this is the best time to create one.

The whole nation is in lockdown and I don’t think you can utilize your time in a much better way than this.

As a beginner, you can start by being simple. You don’t have to buy any pots from the market, you can always recycle those containers lying around your house. Be careful while selecting the plants. Start with something you already know and can take proper care of it. Remember, they are your babies.

You can always decorate your terrace with cute chairs and little lights for you to sit and relax with your plants.

Remember, it does take in a lot of efforts but it’s all worth it!
